The barrel is coated of precious stingray leather with platinized fittings

The stingray leather is a fascinating material, made from the skin of the Southeast Asian stingray (Dasyatis sephen), a close species to the shark, a precious leather that was very popular in the making of luxurious objects in the Art Deco era
More than 30 different working steps are necessary to obtain an exceptional soft and smooth touch, while being remarkably resilient and tear-resistant
Both waterproof and fireproof, it is considered to be the most durable leather in the world
Each stingray skin exhibits an individually distinct pearl mosaic and develops special color nuances, some of which are derived from the charcoal grey spectrum while others elicit light olive green or ivory hues, making each pen a unique one

This masterpiece is displayed in a splendid wooden case with an information leaflet about the pen and a limited and numbered edition certificate
